1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Ebun platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ebun. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
2. Platform Description
Service Overview
Ebun is a visible-giving platform that connects donors with approved organizations, projects, and follow-through records. Our platform facilitates:
- • Secure donation processing with clear fee structures
- • Evidence-led impact trails and review workflows
- • Automated tax receipt generation and annual statements
- • Trust scoring and organization vetting
- • Project notifications, updates, and follow-through records
Platform Fees
Ebun charges a platform fee of 5% on donations, with a minimum of $5 USD and maximum of $50 USD (converted to local currency). Platform fees are clearly displayed before donation completion and are generally not tax-deductible.
3. User Accounts
Account Creation
- • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- • One account per person; multiple accounts are prohibited
Account Security
- • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- • We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account access
- • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
4. Donations & Payments
Donation Process
- • All donations are processed through approved secure payment providers
- • Ebun maintains donation ledger records and disburses funds only through approved payout routes
- • Donations are final and non-refundable once disbursed to organizations
- • Donations may be paused, held, refunded, or declined when compliance, sanctions, payout, or acceptable-use controls require review
- • Platform fees are clearly displayed and calculated before payment
- • Tax receipts are automatically generated for all successful donations
Payment Methods
- • We accept eligible card, hosted checkout, and local payment methods through approved providers
- • Provider availability depends on project currency, country, compliance posture, and routing configuration
- • All payments are processed securely with PCI compliance
- • We do not store payment card information on our servers
Important Notice
Ebun collects eligible donations through approved payment providers, maintains a donation ledger, and disburses funds only through approved payout routes after readiness and compliance checks. Your donation supports the project you choose; disbursement may be delayed or withheld when required by law, payment-network rules, or platform safety controls.
Campaign Funding Policy
Unless a project states otherwise, Ebun uses flexible funding. If a project does not meet its full target, approved funds may still be used for the verified project purpose after closeout review. Cancelled, misrepresented, sanctioned, prohibited, or otherwise ineligible projects may remain payout-blocked and may be subject to refund or cancellation review.
5. Refund Policy
Refund Eligibility
- • Full refunds are available only before funds are disbursed to organizations
- • Refunds must be requested within 48 hours of donation completion
- • Platform fees are refundable only in conjunction with donation refunds
- • Refunds are processed to the original payment method
Refund Process
- • Contact our support team to initiate a refund request
- • Provide your donation ID and reason for refund
- • Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
- • A corrected tax receipt will be generated if applicable
No Refunds After Disbursement
Once funds have been disbursed to the receiving organization, refunds are not possible. This policy ensures that organizations can rely on committed funding for their projects.
6. User Responsibilities
Donor Responsibilities
- • Ensure you have sufficient funds for donations
- • Verify project details before donating
- • Keep donation records for tax purposes
- • Report any suspicious activity
Organization Responsibilities
- • Provide accurate project information
- • Upload evidence within 48 hours of milestones
- • Use funds for stated project purposes
- • Maintain accurate evidence and accountability
7. Acceptable Use
Controlling Policy
Ebun's Acceptable Use Policy is the controlling policy for project eligibility, prohibited activities, restricted activities, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, payout holds, and platform enforcement.
In summary, you may not use Ebun for illegal activity, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, prohibited jurisdictions, sanctioned or restricted parties, misrepresented campaigns, prohibited goods or services, speculative fundraising, political fundraising unless expressly approved, or transaction structuring designed to avoid review.
Ebun may decline, pause, hold, refund, reverse, remove, or block any project, donation, account, payout, or platform activity when required by law, payment partners, banking partners, sanctions controls, transaction monitoring, fraud controls, compliance review, or platform safety judgment.
8. Intellectual Property
Platform Content
The Ebun platform, including its design, functionality, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- • Copy, modify, or distribute our platform content
- • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- • Use our trademarks or branding without permission
- • Create derivative works based on our platform
User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload to the platform, but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the platform's operation.
9. Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer
The Ebun platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- • Uninterrupted or error-free service
- • Accuracy of organization information
- • Success of funded projects
- • Availability of specific features
Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ebun shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
10. Governing Law
Jurisdiction
